  1. Hey Jay, when are you going to test out the Norton 961 Commando? Maybe the new Norton V4 at the same time?

  2. I wonder how long it takes to put on & how much it costs. Also, do they do regular cars too? And vans?

    1. Some manufacturers have sent out dimensions to shops so they can pre-cut the film and help cut time down but it can usually take anywhere from 1-5 days. Depending on the size of the vehicle, how many techs are working on it, and how intricate the shapes of the body lines are on the vehicle. The film itself is about $800-$1400, cost of installation is about $1500+. Cost is relative to what the film is going to do for your car, I’ve seen people scrape their Ferrari’s parking into their garage and all they had to do was remove the film and re install new film vs a thousand dollar paint job from Ferrari.

Protective Film Solutions is located in Santa Ana, CA and they do great work. Call your local shops for a more accurate quote.

  3. Leave it to Jay to simultaneously endorse wrapping a vehicle and illustrate the absurdity of the super young supercar drivers putting ridiculous neon matchbox looking wraps on their cars.

  4. Love the design since 1966'. The only improvement that would interest me would be to put a late model HEMI under the hood.

  5. does that film have a shelf life, does it lose it's luster after a while? how about holding in moisture? if you ever wanted to remove it would it damage the paint?

  6. This stuff works great. Kept the stone chips and UV rays from harming my Yugo Sport. Even at triple digit speeds.
