On an Easter morning in the early 80's, I had a rear tire down to like 8 lbs of pressure. My spare was also flat. I had a box of auto related supplies in the trunk of the Impala. I worked at an auto supply store so i had bought a can of the Fix-a-flat in case of emergency. I installed the contents of the can reluctantly, and it actually worked very well. When it came time to get new tires much later, it did have some gunk on the rim, but nothing really bad.
