Does the Demetrious Johnson/Ben Aaskren trade mean the UFC 125-pound division is eliminated?

  1. Mighty Mouse’s personality is as exciting as a loaf of bread. He has no one to blame but himself for his lack of popularity. Same with Stipe.

  2. Hate to see the "business" side of things uproot champions and give us fights that don't feel right. Throw DC to Stipe, deprive him of an immediate rematch. Mighty Mouse loses by decision and never (yet) got his chance to get the title back he set records defending. At any rate, I can say Askren is going to get the UFC a few buys from this guy. Funk it up.

  3. DJ was literally the only reason anyone even watched or even knew about the flyweights lol, UFC would probably make more money by getting rid of the 125 pound division lol

  4. DJ lost a SPLIT Decision and only because an Olympic wrestler decided to lay on him for five rounds

  5. DJ's lack of draw is down to promotional support from the UFC. An organisation that can hype Ngannou, hype boring Woodley, yet can't promote the best pound for pound fighter in the world. They didn't want to promote him, didn't want him to be the biggest draw which could be easily done.

  6. That division was never interesting. I don't think it was the size of the guys… it was just never really any back and fourth battles. There were no challenges. The division started, and you just had one guy that was so much better than everyone else… meh.

You look at 155… and its a murders row of mofos in the top 5, and every fight you can make is a fookin fan's dream. At 125… every fight you can make is just DJ beating someone EASILY… since the division's inception. There is no back and fourth… at 125 you're never asking questions like, "Well what happens if DJ fights a good wrestler," or "What if DJ faces a great striker," he's basically the best at all those things… just not compelling.

  7. That division was cleaned out years ago when Goatbov was just a wee lad
