The Jon Jones UFC 232 Rejection Never Happened

The Jon Jones UFC 232 Rejection Never Happened | SiriusXM | Luke Thomas

UFC 232 pay-per-view buyrate estimates are in courtesy Dave Meltzer and they’re substantial: 700,000. Jon Jones’s second over Alexander Gustafsson reaches his third-best buyrate figure as a UFC pay-per-view headliner.

What’s the takeaway here? First, the pre-fight declarations that fans were done with the UFC or Jones proved to be a tempest in a teapot. There’s no indication whatsoever that the controversy surrounding Jones did anything but boost business. As I’ve previously argued, if you really dislike Jones, but your habits make you indistinguishable from fans, then you’re really just a fan by a different name. Second, anti-doping scaremonger tactics continue to fall flat.

  1. The "why you lying" was funny the first time…got over used..thx Luke for the content!

  2. Pretty abrasive vid man. I'm a fan of Jones and typically a fan of your content, but this was unnecessarily antagonistic. No need to call people who had a problem with this liars or belabor the fact that they can't make a difference by voting with their wallets. Not sure what your point was other than patting the ufc in the back, the way I see it the people expressing those opinions weren't the casual fans who trivialize controversy by buying these big cards en masse.

  3. People talk about boycotting why do that if there is other good fights on the card. Why should other fighters suffer because of that piece of trash.

  4. Who would spend $60 of their hard earned money to watch a cheating junkie fight when you can watch the LIVE stream on twitter? 🤔

  5. Luke been slobbing on that Jonny bone way too much lately 🤔🤔

  6. The people who were most vocal about not buying the PPV are people who pirate the fights.
