83 Weeks #15: Monday Nitro 8/9/1999

Eric and Conrad believe this could be their best episode yet! There is so much to cover from Rap is Crap, Master P, a KISS wrestler, the boys abusing the injury clauses in their contracts, Nash losing some confidence as booker, and of course Hulk Hogan breaking out the red and yellow for the first time in years! This is the “State of WCW” from the Summer of 1999–just about a month before Eric was sent home! Don’t miss it!

  1. It should have been Paul and Gene from Kiss vs. ICP in a triple cage match! Rock n roll all night and drink faygo everyday!

  2. So are we going to get the following deleted scene:

Conrad: So do you use razors from dollarshave?
Eric: Am I talking to you right now?
    Conrad: Uh..yeah
Eric: Then I didn't cut my throat now did I?
Conrad: But how does that relate…ooooh
Eric: You are as dumb as you look.
Conrad: Yeah, I tried the butter, still have got hives
Eric: You should know better than to use any of our sponsors stuff Conrad
    Conrad: sheepishly Sorry

  3. I was very disappointied that despite the red and yellow Hulk picture there is very little discussed about how the story leading to the return good Hulk happend, how the nWo story "ended" (what happend post finger poke), talent, fan, and media reaction to Hulk's turn, what Hulk wanted to do etc. There is MAYBE 15 of discussion of Hulk's turn on a very shallow level. However, we get an out of place rant about Raven….

  4. I stuck with WCW all the way through til the end but for me especially in 99 the last hurrah for the company was Spring Stampede 99, from Blitzkrieg v Juventud to the Four way main event with macho as the special guest referee that was a great PPV & signalled the end of the peak run for WCW ✌️

  5. Letting The Giant, Jericho, and Raven go were big blows to WCW's roster and story telling potential. Eric still doesn't seem to grasp that.

  6. I've always thought it must be weird to have a company where the 'boss' makes less money than some of the people he's giving orders to.
