Francis Ngannou: People were unhappy with Cain Velasquez defeat

UFC heavyweight Francis Ngannou joins Ariel Helwani’s MMA Show and says “there were a lot of unhappy people” with his fight against Cain Velasquez in UFC Fight Night: Ngannou vs. Velasquez. He said it’s clear he won fair and square and says his punch landed before Velasquez hurt his knee early in the first round. Ngannou says he didn’t need to call out heavyweight champion Daniel Cormier to get a title shot. Ngannou says if he had an option he’d like to fight for the title but would welcome a rematch with Stipe Miocic.

  1. Can someone explain to me why people use the term 'Knock Out' when there wasn't really a clean real KO instead of just saying TKO? (FYI Francis definitely hit Cain with an uppercut, you can easily see Cains head react to the punch in slowmo & you can see Francis' shoulder muscles tense up from the contact and TheWeasle has a better angle of it) but.. I think that should be considered a TKO..

  2. I'm not convinced it was a ko,but Ngannou definitely deserves more credit,he caused the situation to buckle his knee by throwing shots an making it awkward for cain.
Also cain should retire, his injury list previously would of been enough for most to get the picture, but this knee injury on his return should show him his body isn't on the level his heart is.cain is a legend an should retire as one.

  3. Brown Power guy didn't show much power, hahahahahah !

  4. He’s so humble now. It’s amazing to see where this guy is at now. Probs big guy!

  5. No. Just no. Ngannou is awesome, and his punch probably took Cain out of equilibrium for a moment, but he stepped with his left foot to catch himself, and his knee gave out. The end.

  6. I ain't hating nor dicrediting the win but I don't think he actually conect with a punch his knee just got tweaked bc Cain has a brittle body everyone knows that
