Francis Ngannou: People were unhappy with Cain Velasquez defeat

UFC heavyweight Francis Ngannou joins Ariel Helwani’s MMA Show and says “there were a lot of unhappy people” with his fight against Cain Velasquez in UFC Fight Night: Ngannou vs. Velasquez. He said it’s clear he won fair and square and says his punch landed before Velasquez hurt his knee early in the first round. Ngannou says he didn’t need to call out heavyweight champion Daniel Cormier to get a title shot. Ngannou says if he had an option he’d like to fight for the title but would welcome a rematch with Stipe Miocic.

  1. Gain is like TJ. He was the favorite and the one people expected/wanted to win. But just like TJ he lost it fair and square. Did his knee gave up ? Sure, but not before he got tag by an uppercut in the clinch. What if his knee was okay ? Well blaydes's knee was okay and he could'nt survive for a long time. Cain made a mistake when he rushed Francis, that's all.

  2. Stipe will be on suicide watch if he gets the title shot against DC, lol.

  3. Nhannou used VATS on Cain. Aim for the head and it blew up his knee. Fallout 3 is weird that way.
