Dominick Cruz Is The UFC’s Best Color Commentator

The UFC has many excellent color commentators. Fighters like Daniel Cormier and Paul Felder are two particular favorites. Dominick Cruz, however, is the best of the bunch. His style earns criticism from people who don’t read books and just want an auctioneer or master of ceremonies to mindlessly entertain them. Those who watch fights and rely on color commentators to help explain the action (and read books), however, realize Cruz is peerless. Sure, he focuses on underhooks, but only because he’s right to do so. Pound sand, haters.

  1. Luke… who are you arguing with? No one disagreed with you lmao

  2. Cruz is good, but he messes shit up like left and right ALOT. He says right punch then says sorry i mean left punch ALOT.

  3. Are we ever going to get our commentating dream team? Mike Perry & Derrick Lewis!!!

  4. No, he is not. I like his analysis, but I don't care for his live commentary. I don't need to hear about every single detail of every movement that a fighter "should" be making while I'm watching the fight. Describing the fight and directing the fight are two different things. I prefer commentators that focus a little more on what is actually happening in the fight and not their advice for the fighters. I like Cruz and he has a great mind for the game, but his commentary is a little too detailed and overdone. I guess I don't read as many books as Luke Thomas.
