  1. I'm just starting out in BJJ, but it seems like there would be a submission or something available once the back of the knee is pinched.

  2. Can you show some bjj for MMA? This Is nice but pretty useful when you add punches.

  3. Hey coach, any recommendations for a BJJ guy who wants to improve wrestling skills as a smaller person? Perhaps a book. My coach teaches takedowns regularly (Renzo/ Danaher black belt) but I want to work on it extra. No wrestling clubs nearby, but there is a judo place and a sambo gym, however they are a bit far to train at regularly. I just would like some tips or concepts for standing game with much bigger people. I weigh 125 lbs/ 56 kilos ( I'm 15 years old) so there is usually a big weight difference. Any specific Judo techniques to focus on that transition well to no gi to focus on? I will ask my coach the next time I see him, but I'm curious about your opinion. it seems athleticism is a bigger factor standing, so I want to find a reliable approach to get around it.

  4. is reverse de la riva a sport jiu jitsu oriented or does it work well in self defense? How do you combat a punch while in this guard?
