We offered for us to fly to the UK to train them in their house, and they also declined. We tried everything, but unfortunately, it’s not happening. Kudos to you guys for trying. There is a boy who just committed suicide in my area because of bullying. I wish I had the teaching ability like you guys to prevent such things from happening. Truly sad he couldn't accept your offer, hopefully he learns from someone how to defend against bullies

it's tough for them to ditch what they've been trying to build in the UK to come to California where living costs would be high compared to england. Not exactly their wrong doing denying the offer, they have their own reasoning.
I admire the thought and the gesture but you could’ve done it without too much publicity!! The poor Syrian kids have suffered enough, they just need to steer away from publicity and media and or social media attention! Hope you’re move will make the kid go by himself and learn the beauty of BJJ

There is more to this story, depending on what you believe. There are claims that he assaulted a girl and also, his mother is a convicted racist for calling a shop owner a terrorist as well as racial slurs. I'm not saying it's true or not, but I'm sure you can research if you're that interested.
