Aaron Pico – one of MMA’s and Bellator’s top prospects in any weight class – suffered the second defeat of his pro career at Bellator 214 against veteran fighter Henry Corrales. What lessons can we infer from this loss? For starters, Pico might benefit from a slow down in schedule. There are also some risk management issues. But the truth is these are solvable problems. He can already wrestle, possesses knockout power and is a phenomenal athlete. He has good coaching and mentorship.
As it stands, the losses are unavoidable and the damage highly inadvisable. There’s not much reason for any of it to be happening, albeit understandable given Pico’s limited experience. Time now for some changes.
🙂
He can't keep getting ko'd though.
Win or lose, his fights are can't miss. Crazy shit always happens.
lesson is he is only 22 and some people were anointing him as the goat
“These are solvable problems. Listen here uneducated donks, I have a hypothesis.”
Back to the drawing board
