Greg Hardy, Rachael Ostovich on Same UFC Card? | Luke Thomas

Former NFL All-Pro Greg Hardy will make his UFC debut on January 19th on the UFC’s first card on ESPN+. The problem? It’s on the same card as UFC flyweight Rachael Ostovich, who only weeks ago suffered a horrendous domestic violence event. Whether or not one believes Hardy should get a license or compete in the UFC is one issue, but the optics and message of booking them on the same card is impossibly self defeating and idiotic. In addition, ESPN plays a role of complicity here. This one is impossible to defend.

The Luke Thomas Show airs weekdays, 3 to 6pm ET, on SiriusXM RUSH, channel 93.

  1. Unless Hardy beat Ostovich leave it be. This probably happens all the time and the media just doesn't know it, so it doesn't matter. Let's leave their personal lives out of it and let them be professional at their jobs. None of our business. Not having them on the card now due to this would set a precedent. Anyone offended or triggered by an act that is tangentially related to another fighter can have them removed due to outrage culture.

  2. Wait, am I missing something? The way that quote discribed the situation, sounds like Hardy did no damage, just grabbed the girl, shouted at her, then released. Is this right? I mean yes, psychological trauma from the treat and all, not to mention just being an asshole, but if that discription was accurate, this shouldn't even count as an assult!
I'm confused, could anyone set this streight for me please?

  3. If we believe that ESPN will own this, which I agree with, remember that ESPN is owned by Disney.

  4. Is this guy a former Marine or a soccer mom in training. Stay away from soy products.

  5. Rachael Ostovich is clearly not letting this effect her and ruin her life, because she is still fighting. The media is blowing this up way more then it should, for them clicks.

  6. Fook Hardy! Not only he hit women and lied, but he was garbage for my 'Boys. And Ostovich or/both can get it anytime she/they want it, I treat her/they like an envelope just gentler and savor the taste longer!;)>
