Ah, the nostalgia! Lotus Cortina at Bathurst, lifting a wheel. And then there was the Cortina GT500. Indelible memories.
Remembering Dad bringing home that brand new '66 English Ford Anglia. In green and cream it was a departure from all those monotone cars he had prior to the Anglia, but damn, there's nothing like a little sporty 4 speed manual to awaken the car guy within. Looking back I see now it was the sound of it and getting rubber in all four gears that led on to my first car- a '60 544 Volvo. The Kissel Gold Bug of Dad's youth was what that Volvo was for me. Ah-h, youth! Thanks for this one, Jay.
