Jon Jones and Sobriety | SiriusXM | Luke Thomas

Former UFC light heavyweight champion Jon Jones spoke to ESPN about his attempts at sobriety. In short, Jones says he is not sober, but has dialed back his partying. The question is: should he be completely sober? As a media member, I have a hard time telling a fighter how to live their private life. For now, I say we lay off on this issue. However, as my producer noted, given his history, this is not necessarily the best kind of risk management possible. Ahead of his return to fighting against Alexander Gustafsson at UFC 232, what’s the right answer? My producer and I debate.

The Luke Thomas Show airs weekdays, 3 to 6pm ET, on SiriusXM RUSH, channel 93.

  1. I wonder why everyone dropped the coke cut with tainted ceratine narrative. Joe Rogan brought it up but then stopped pushing it.

  2. If he's a responsible social drinker/smoker, no problem which as a fan I'd like to think and believe, and I do.
