Chris Weidman: I deserve title shot after UFC 230 win | Ariel Helwani’s MMA Show

UFC middleweight Chris Weidman calls in to Ariel Helwani’s MMA Show to discuss his UFC 230 fight against Luke Rockhold being cancelled, saying he was initially “pissed” about this because he prepared to take on Rockhold and talks about if he is feeling let down that the rematch isn’t happening. Weidman expresses his thoughts on his new opponent for UFC 230, Ronald “Jacare” Souza for the co-main event and how he was prepared to take on anybody, but Souza was the only fighter the UFC approached him with. Weidman explains that if he beats Souza on November 3, he will be going for the middleweight title in his next fight. Weidman expresses whether he is going to have any ring rust leading into this fight after a long layoff since his last bout. Weidman details his relationship with actor Kevin James, who he has become great friends with and says James is a mentor to him. Weidman also describes what it is like working out with New York Knicks center Enes Kanter.

  1. After the Mousasi fight who can respect this guy? Faked an injury as an attempt to win. That is not a champion. Just in generally that is some pu*** sheet.

  2. He needs to slow his roll. The figjt has'nt even taken place and he's looking past an extremely dangerous opponent in Jacare.

  3. I know for SURE you REGRET that STUPID high kick against Rockhold CHRIS.

  4. I have to stop the first video of the playlist immediately to avoid that awful, piercing voice. But I'm never quick enough..

  5. He’s obviously talking about a title shot for the team of the new Espn slot. He does more tv than fighting the silly man. Romero knee still has his head fucked
