Will we see Ben Askren in the UFC at middleweight?

  5. I'm ready for some hate, so here it goes: Who cares about Ben Askren? I know people similar to him in other walks of life, they travel a very safe path, never take any risks then act like what they've done is monumental.

    He's undefeated, but also never fought anyone in the 10 of any weight class. I think you could argue top 20. He just beat Shinya Aoki, at best he's a small lightweight who's prime was when "Lost" was still airing new episodes.

    Why would GSP fight him? It's like in HS you have that really ugly/dorky friend who says (about the prom queen) "Oh yeah, I'd hit that." Not the point, they wouldn't bang you, they won't even dignify you with a response because you're not even in their league. It's easy to call people out when you know they won't fight you, trolls do it on the internet every day.

    He's saying he won't fight Tyron Woodley, whatever excuse he needs, fact is Tyron is a beast, horrible rapper, but a freaking beast in the cage, and he would pop Ben's head off his shoulders. I don't think it's close. But nobody is asking to fight Tyron so why is he even bringing it up? So if ever the situation comes up he can say "Well I said way back in 2018 I wouldn't fight him."

    Now I'm not a fighter, and I don't understand as much as people who are, but as a die hard fan, I think Ben's overrated, I think he's been put on a pedestal unjustly, and frankly he's a scared con artist, if I'm wrong, why hasn't he fought anyone of significance? He left Bellator right when they started bringing higher level talent and he didn't got to WSOF (where other big names were) he went to ONE FC.

    I would like to see him in the UFC just so he can be exposed, but it won't happen, he likes the idea that he's "undefeated"

  9. Askren fought at ONE at 185lb because they changed the weigh cutting rule over there. In the UFC his best weigh class would be 170
