Stipe Miocic 242.5 pounds…Daniel Cormier 246 pounds.

As Chael Sonnen predicted, UFC Light heavyweight Champion weighed in more than UFC Heavyweight Champ Stipe Miocic. What does this mean for the fight?

  1. I bet dc will feel a lot better for this fight. He looks better not all dried up like a prune.

  2. I'm going on my own it seems by saying Stipe wins by decision. Stipe is taller and longer and, as Jones and Gus showed, longer technical strikers are DC's kryptonite. DC is a hell of a striker and routinely outstrikes longer guys, but Stipe is a different beast being a true heavyweight and he is a high level wrestler in his own right. No doubt DC's grappling is superior but Stipe's still better than most, so while he'll benefit more from a stand up fight, if DC gets him to the ground (which I think he will) Stipe will be competitive. DC has fantastic stamina, one of the best chins ever and Stipe isn't on PEDs (as far as we know) so I don't see it ending in KO, likewise I don't see Stipe getting the submission. Also, Chael you say a leg kick would be handing DC a chance to wrestle, but Jones found plenty of success with his leg kicks (and being a drugs cheat) so who knows? This will either be fight of the year or a snoozefest, either way I see Stipe winning 48-47 decision.

  3. Stipe by decision. All the added weight went to that muffin waist for Dc and that is gonna sacrifice his mobility vs a natural at that weight. Stipe is gonna cut him with punches early on which will slow the takedowns and stipe will defend the later takedowns with ease.
