A ‘Privilege’ to Hear Ronda Rousey Speak? | Luke Thomas

Ronda Rousey, current WWE star and former UFC bantamweight champion, spoke to the media while promoting her new movie Mile 22. In answering questions, she said it was ‘privilege’ to hear her speak. What did the former Olympic judoka mean by that? In this clip from my show, we break it down.

The Luke Thomas Show airs weekdays, 3 to 6pm ET, on SiriusXM RUSH, channel 93.

  1. Lmao… MMA fans and media created Ronda Rousey in which they are indirectly responsible for her emotional downfall. MMA fans and media were the ones saying Rousey could beat any man on the planet. MMA fans and media were the ones saying Rousey could beat the entire roster in the UFC. MMA fans and media were the ones saying Rousey could beat Mayweather in boxing. MMA fans and media were the ones content with Rousey being on the cover of RING magazine as a non boxer. These are all things I couldn't BELIEVE people were saying with a straight face. Once that illusion shatters and Rousey emotionally crumbles, I think MMA fans and media need to own up to creating that monster and recognize ya'll were responsible for building her up to such false levels for her to even fall from. That level of delusion should be tough on anyone to rebound from.

  2. to be fair to ronda, when i first heard the comment "hearing me speak is a privilege" i thought "fuck you". but hearing the full quote, she has a point. she really does. as a celebrity, or even a non celebrity, everything you say online gets criticised. and it must be super annoying.
also, i have no issue with her statement being self-contradictory in an effort to explain why she doesn't make statements. in this instance, she gets a pass. ps. i think ronda is a dick, so bare than in mind if you think i'm being biased.
